New Plant Care Guide!

Congratulations on your new plant!! To ensure your plant thrives in its new environment, please follow these care instructions closely. Remember that patience and a little TLC go a long way in helping your plant settle in comfortably.

1. Initial Acclimation Period (First 14 Days):

For the first 2 weeks after bringing your plant home, it's crucial not to repot or disturb the roots too much. Your plant needs time to adjust to its new environment!
During this period:

  • Avoid Repotting: Do not repot your plant into a different container or substrate. Leave it in the original pot it came in.
  • Minimal Disturbance: Try to minimize handling and movement of the plant as it acclimates.

2. Assessing Your Plant's Health:

If your plant appears a bit flimsy or shows signs of stress (e.g., wilting or drooping), make sure to water it.

Ensure that the substrate remains moist but not waterlogged. Water the plant when the top inch of the substrate begins to feel dry. Be cautious not to let it dry out completely.

3. Cosmetic Damage and Yellowing:

It's perfectly normal for your new plant to display minor cosmetic issues such as yellowing leaves or slight imperfections. These are often due to the stress of transport and acclimation to a new environment. Don't be alarmed; your plant will recover with proper care.

4. Repotting Only When Necessary:

Avoid repotting your plant into your home's soil mix until you notice positive signs of growth! Signs may include new leaves, shoots, or roots. Repotting too soon can disrupt your plant's adjustment period.

5. Adjusting to Humidity:

If you're unable to provide a high-humidity environment for your plant, that's okay! Many plants can adapt to moderate humidity levels. Just remember: Don't Let It Dry Out!

Keep a close eye on your plant's behavior. Each plant has unique care requirements, so it's important to observe how yours responds to its new home. Adjust your care routine based on your plant's specific needs.
